Hi, I'm Paramvir 👋
I started Houseplant Essentials because I couldn't find plant supplies I actually liked. Everything was either cheap and flimsy, or overpriced and hard to find in Canada. So I started sourcing and selling the stuff I was already using myself.
I'm based in Kitchener, Ontario, and I run this shop on my own. Every order gets packed by me, and if you ever have a question, you're talking to the person who actually knows the products.
Why clear pots?
Honestly, once you try them, you won't go back. Being able to see the roots means you stop guessing. You can tell when the soil is still wet, when roots are starting to circle, when it's time to size up. It just takes the stress out of plant care.
That's kind of the whole idea behind everything I sell — practical stuff that actually helps your plants do better.
The other stuff
The stackable moss poles are great if you have climbing plants. You just add sections as the plant grows, no repotting needed. The reusable plant tags are a small thing but they make a big difference if you're juggling a lot of plants and can never remember what's what.
I only carry things I'd buy myself. If something doesn't hold up, I stop selling it.
